Tinis 4 Tatas

In honor of Breast Cancer awareness month and the children affected by cancer, the women of the Active 20-30 Club of the Redwood Empire #1029 organize this Tinis for Tatas bar crawl each year, to raise funds for Sutter’s Grief and Bereavement Support Groups and Programs. The Active 20-30 Club of the Redwood Empire is a service club dedicated to helping children in our community. Each year, our club raises over $40,000, which we use to provide services and hold events for underserved youth, as well as donate to other local nonprofits and offer college scholarships. In particular, this event’s proceeds go to providing grief and bereavement services for children of our community, who have been affected by the death or illness of someone close to them. A high percent of the children benefiting from these groups and programs have gone through the incredibly difficult cancer diagnosis of a loved one, with about 12% percent of those cancer diagnoses being specifically breast cancer. This program serves 350 children a year. All services are free, not just to Sutter patients, but to the entire community.

Attendees pay a ticket price for access to specialty drink and food items from participating bars/restaurants; wristbands and “menus” are given out at the starting host bar/restaurant. It’s a fun event, made even better by the knowledge that all of the proceeds are going to such a great cause.

This event is on Saturday, September 23rd. Purchase your tickets HERE!!
