The Redwood Empire Club puts on a number of fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Crab Feed in January. The proceeds from these events are donated to charities that benefit local children in need.
In addition to fundraising and donating money, another important part of membership in the Active 20-30 Club is participation in hands-on events. These events allow members to work directly with the children we help in the community. For example, every December the women of the Redwood Empire put together a holiday event for a selected local charity. The children and their families are invited for an afternoon of games, cookie decorating and a visit from Santa. The children are then surprised with a gift chosen especially for them from Santa. This is only one example – events like this are held several times a year.
National and International Opportunities
The Redwood Empire Club is also actively involved at the national and international levels of the organization. Convention meetings on both levels are held every summer in addition to mid-term, regional and other meetings held throughout the year. The Redwood Empire Club continues to receive awards at conventions for the outstanding work and contributions to the children of Sonoma County. These conventions are hosted by different clubs each year and also provide the opportunity to travel to exciting places as well as befriend other men and women in the Active 20-30 Organization.
